As a dottering 68 year old coming to the end of his life on this earth I have recently hit a problem that I am unable to resolve which is causing me some stress.
I will add that until I retired I had never seen a pc let alone work one so I will possible not use the appropriate tec term regarding my problem but I will try to explain below in the hope that you the experts will be able to solve the problem.
My system is windows xp pro with dreamweaver 8 which was loaded on to my pc at xmas time.
In my project that I would like to finish before I meet my maker is as follows I have a panel on the left side a header panel and a main panel the problem seems to be in the top panel in it I have two papal flags with a text in-between but round this text is a broken line HOW do I get rid of this line also the which were blowing in the breeze before dreamweaver 8 was installed no longer blow in the breeze even though the gifimage in the code box above is exactly the same your help in this problem would be gratefully appreciated .
As I have indicated above my health is not the best and I would really like to finish this project soon I may add this is NOT me playing a sympathy card.
I do have messenger 7 installed which has theremote assistance if you care to make arrangements with me . or email me with a solution derek_oware@tiscali.co.uk

I DO HOPE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE M

Sounds like a rendering issue with the DW view. the dotted lines usually indicate a selected item and animated gifs don't run anyway.

Open it in a browser to see what it really looks like.
