OK, This is the deal.... I have been trying to learn flash. I asked a friend for help and instead he made the whole website for me. LOL
Well he wrote me a tutorial on how to update the site. I have been trying for months now. He doesnt speak very good english and i just dont understand.. I think i understand the concept of it, but for some reason it just wont work for me.
the website is ClanScK
if you enter the site and go to members and click blaze you will see what i cant get to work.. If you click hotrod then click another member you will see where i have made a big boo boo.. LOL
Also i would REALLY like to change the music that is playing and i havent the slightest clue on how to do that.. If anybody can help me or give me a few pointers it would be great.. my icq is 101226167 and my email is Genny420@insightbb.com
Please get in touch with me if you know what i might be doing wrong.. Thx... PeAcHeS

My advice would be to simply drop the whole flash thing at present. You certainly don't need a flash intro page anyway, it may look cool, but simply delays visitors from entering your site proper. And why have the site open up in a separate screen?

Once you have mastered flash, perhaps then go back to using it. Until then it might be better (easier anyway) to stick to basics.

Hi Peaches,

You might have to give it a little time to get the answer (this is a holiday weekend for some), but I'm sure you'll get an answer. Be patient and save your hair!

Anyway, you might want to do as Dismal said and finish the site out in html so the others can see it. Then complete the flash.

So who's the flash expert to give Peaches some answers?

Dave

I agree with the donkey. Put the flash on hold for now and finish the site using HTML.

Thx crow.. ive got most of the basics down. The website i made on angelfire was for my old clan. There is quite a bit of java and music on the site so it might take a minute to load but if you want to see it it is Sw3 Sorry if anybody takes and offense to any of the pot graphics lol.. Also sorry if ive been a little *****y.. I was in a bad wreck with a semi truck 2 weeks ago and i havent been able to do much but sit around so i was expecting myself to get some work done on the site, then after sitting here all this time fooling with it i just started tripping lol But i got a break from the computer last night, got a good night sleep, and got some good news from my lawyer today.. So im feeling alot better. Im going to give it all a fresh start and see if i can get anywhere today
