I don't have my own PC yet, as I have moved to another country and I'm still getting used to the new life n stuff, but when I do get a PC and Internet, I intend to get Studio 8.

I just wanna know what everyone thinks of studio 8, but more specifically DW 8, as thats the program I use the most.

What new features has it got that you all like?

I've used FrontPage for years, and have never made the switch from FrontPage to DreamWeaver (no reason why...just familar and comphy with FP) ... but with the release of DW8, for somereason I just decided to convert...not sure why, but I do know that it loads a lot quicker than previous versions of DW's ... that's probably why, haha.

It is the BOMB! I love it! I always used FrontPage for years until I purchased Macromedia Studio MX which includes Dreamweaver, and I never looked back!
I just recently purchased Macromedia Studio 8, so I'm not completely sure of all the upgrades, but I love the redesigned sleeker look and navigation.

Got DW 8 last week, the only useful feature I have found compared with 7 is uploading/downloading is now done as a background task. As for DW in general, I wouldnt use it's dynamic scripting capabilites too much because the code is really bloated (i heard frontpage is worse though...). I use it for handcoding, and layout design and it rocks for that.

So it happened to you too. I told them to notify all 10 of my email addresses (just incase I didnt read some in a couple of weeks ). They didnt. This also happened to about 20 of my friends.

lets get one thing straight, DW is definetly better than FP, it can do so much more.

although, frontpage may be a little easier to use, especially if you dont know much or dont have a lot of experience in web design

i found out it was out because i subscribe to macromedia edge, an opt in newsletter from macromedia.
