Hi,

I'm putting together a website for a local bar in Spain. It's very simple but already I've reached a hurdle I can't cross. I'm using tables.

I want to put the logo at the top and the links across the bottom and keep them consistant on all pages. I then want to be able to use the middle space for all the content of the different pages. I've tried using frames but get unwanted ugly scrollbars when the browser window is made smaller.

Is there a clever and simple way to do this without frames? can you fix a table cell vertically?

Ok try this....

add this to your <table> tag
HTML Code:
style="table-layout:fixed"
you can set the heights of the cells but not the whole table..... so set the height of the center cell to what you want and the rest of the cells (top row and bottom row) will just auto fit themsevles vertically to the content placed whithin them.....

this should work...you might have to play with the height of the middle cell a little bit to get it to fit like you want......

good luck

That's exactly what I needed to know - thanks a lot.
