temporary employment services, here in the states they recruit people for temporary positions or temporary to fulltime positions, sort of a 'try before you buy' hiring practice that seems to be the new trend... make sense?
really i'd look for a company that does what you want to do, research them a bit, then call em up, tell them you want to learn the business, you want to work for them, do they have an internship program?
my bachelor degree program required me to do 3 paid fulltime interships, which are hard to find unless you want to be an office gopher. And those 'office gopher' crap internships are usually the ones that are advertised. So unless you know someone in the industry (which im guessing you don't) i think your best bet would be to seek them out.
