Is there no way to adjust line spacing in DW?

I'm still at the beginner level in DW although it's going pretty well. My only problem is:
I can't figure out how to reduce the specing between lines of text. If I type directly into a layer, when I hit "return", there is way too much space inserted between the line I just typed and the new line. I've tried creating the text in Word and saving as HTML, but when I import through DW, it's back to the same problem - about 5 pts of space before and after lines of text. I tried modifying the HTML Word doc, but it still imported into DW with too much space.

I also tried creating the text doc in BBBedit - when I imported that through DW, I got a window saying BBBedit had an error #1708, then the import continued but it had no space between lines, just one continuous line of text. If I then inserted the cursor and hit return, there was again the huge space.

I think if you keep your finger on the shift key when you press return it doesn't insert the line spacing between lines of text. I think anyway!

Yes, if you hold the shift in inserts a <BR> rather than a </p><p>

How great to get a quick, accurate answer. I couldn't find that in the manual although I scoured the pages relating to text formatting.
