Hello,

I am a new user here, I am a collage student and we have a project that we need to complete.

Form to database
-My requirements are.
1. need a html form page which has name, register #, and comments.
2. when user enters this data this information needs to store into a access database.
3. i have the server and all the information ready.

I am not able to create this, please can someone help me with this or point me to some place where I can download this code and implement into my project.

Thanks in advance.

And what has a database got to do with collage?

So you want us to do your course work for you then.

The material for college assignments is often covered in lectures before the assignment is handed out.

I agree that the collage has provided us handouts to all the course materials, but this project is initiated by students and we need to deliver this at our best.

I have the basic structure ready but when it comes to connecting to the database and make it work I am stuck.

Please some one help.

Thanks

Your best source of detailed info is Microsoft's own site. Not a sentence I often type.

Yea we does find problems as students. So, I'll suggest

1. Do you know HTML? if yes then just create a html page with the form elements as per your need.
2. To store the data form the from to access database, You'll need a server side script to handle all the information sent from the form. I'm not used to connecting access (I usually use PHP, MySQL and Apache Server on Linux or Windows), I guess you'll need to learn ASP (Active Server Pages). You'll also need to learn the SQL language.
3. Since you've got your server ready, I assume you must be using IIS server, you can install PHP on IIS Server and I think you can connect using PHP to access database.
