Hello all,
First? Is there a way to insert a background image behind a frameset? Not just in a single frame.
Second?While fooling around with templates I was trying to insert a layer onto an editable area of the template but it won't allow it. It seems if an area is editable you should be able to do what you want with it. Neither the book or the cd has any info regarding these questions.

I am trying to do this webpage using the WYSIWYG features or DW. The hand coding is coming very slowly.

Thanks in advance.
Douglas

to your first one, no. you cant add a background image behind a frameset.

as to your second one,

if the area is editable, you can insert a layer into it.. but

if you are using dreamweaver mx 2004, then what happens is it tries to add the netscape resize code to the head part of the html.. if that part is not editable then it will give you this error message.

also what you can do is insert the layer in a new page and then copy and paste this code into the area you want and c if that works..

let know if this works
