I hand code. Yup, it sucks but I like to feel in control of my pages.

If so, please deposit some money in my account whenever you use it

i use dreamweaver - but generally i use the "code" section to hand-code all my xHTML and CSS - then use the "design" to preview and test my work....

i've found that dreamweaver is great for giving coding tips - makes coding quicker at times

I use dreamweaver but hand code everything. I rarely use the design view unless I want to quickly find a spot in the code in a very large file. I love dreamweavers tips for PHP and it's ability to handle all kinds of files (syntax highlighting).

Yeah me too.

I wrote a forms application in VB.NET to run through an entire installation of our web product. Did the entire thing by hand, including specifying every property of ever control on the form... no drag and drop. All in notepad. I recently quit my job and handed over to the new guy, he had a really worried look on his face when I told him how I coded it!

I used to hand code everything.

Last week though I started using a CMS (Mambo) and it's been amazing, I can do stuff much faster and easier, and since it's my dad's site, even he can update. I was going to create it myself, but if it's already made, why redo it.

Hand code, it's how I learned and I guess I find it easier. I use Crimson Editor so I still get to make use of some fo the features you find in other more advanced editors.

Actually, it's the intelligent people who can code -- the monkeys are the ones glaring open-mouthed into the browser or drawing a box in a program and calling it coding.

Fronpage is pretty much made for the beginners... I can't honestly tell how irritated do i sometimes get when i have to patch up somebody's files and handle all the trash that it leaves.
Dreamweaver is an intermediate-type of a program. Very convenient for design. But once you get to more dynamic types of stuff php, asp, etc. it gets a little hard there... though it still highlights the code.
What i found the best for coding so far was Maguma Studio (and Maguma workbench). I forgot the link but you probably can find it in google.
A its main adventages i can list a GOOD debug manager, and pretty descent interface. - I really love it when you can code and test it on your own machine w/o having to install your own server with all the libriaries etc.. (Though still had to put up the SQL server up, but its not nearly as much mess)
