Fronpage is pretty much made for the beginners... I can't honestly tell how irritated do i sometimes get when i have to patch up somebody's files and handle all the trash that it leaves.
Dreamweaver is an intermediate-type of a program. Very convenient for design. But once you get to more dynamic types of stuff php, asp, etc. it gets a little hard there... though it still highlights the code.
What i found the best for coding so far was Maguma Studio (and Maguma workbench). I forgot the link but you probably can find it in google.
A its main adventages i can list a GOOD debug manager, and pretty descent interface. - I really love it when you can code and test it on your own machine w/o having to install your own server with all the libriaries etc.. (Though still had to put up the SQL server up, but its not nearly as much mess)
