I have questions about appropriate trade mark usage (R), (TM), (SM), (C).

My understanding of the usage policy on the web is that if the trade mark is in an image (i.e. logo) then you do not acually have to put it in the text where the item is written since it's already covered by the logo? Is this true? Any online materials about this subject?

Next question, what if someone has an image disabled browser or a screen reader, do you think then the alt tag on the image should also include the appropriate trade mark to keep consistency with the above question?

Thanks
J
