My website don't create traffic, I am going to Custom Design my Website for better Results. Did it be very helpful for my Present website. What are the advantages of it.

Hmm? So you're a web design company (according to your now removed signature), but you don't know the value of custom web design. What does that say about the quality of work your clients can expect your clients can expect to receive?

if you can't design a site, and you make your own "custom site" it is a step backwards.

on the other hand if your a very skilled designer, and can make a custom design that will grab users attention and make them feel comfortable on the page, then its massive steps forward.

there are lots of pre-made , nice templates, but others could be using the same template. and if you don't know enough that you have to use a template, chances are you need to use the layout, and won't be able to accurately put things where you want ( unless the template fits exactly what you want.)

personally I find a custom design I wrote easier to work with than a template, because I know what I named certain div's and what I did for each element, making editing easier than picking up on someone else's work

if your a designer, I think the last thing you should be doing is using a pre-made template. what will your customers think, if they see your site , and have seen it on monster template or some other site.

IMHO: of course it depends on the site type, what for it? URL?
custom design is not so important for most type of sites - you can find many free and the same time very user friendly designs. Design just should help to read/view content and don't distract - the site content is most value thing on your site. Visitors can view your site design one-two times and say - 'cool!' then they will not notice the design....

You can put a pretty hat on a dog and it is still a dog......

A crappy site with poor content can become a pretty site with poor content...
And still no traffic...

Don't disappoint others friend.If your site is loosing traffic than try to rename it with some new features.
It will help you to get traffic.You should also design you home page attractively.Should advertise your site in some networking forums.It will also help to build up the traffic.

I don't think I completely understand what you are asking, but I'll give my $.02 on the matter.

I am a GREAT coder. As far as design sense, I have trouble matching my clothes in the morning without my wife's approval. It's just not the most natural thing to me. Other people here will tell you that web design is all about design and not about the code. I would agree with that to some extent, but that doesn't mean that you can't be successful.

I have used templates in the past to inspire ideas. I edited those templates so much that they didn't look at all like the templates they started out to be. After a while, I discovered that doing THAT was harder than just making my own design. So, what I started doing then was just surfing the net...inspiring ideas. I'd look at people's sites of ALL TYPES and just marked down what I liked and didn't like. I try to incorporate those things into my design. I also bought a book that was just a conglomeration of sites to inspire different ideas, and illustrated certain key elements in today's design.

I still can't match my socks in the morning, but I'm not lost when it comes to a site's design, anymore....for the most part. Remember, too, that one person's eye candy is another person's dog waste.
