I'm still working on getting all the hiking and biking trail designs completed before I start to advertise for the site in my sig. As you can see, I still have a lot to add. Would it be beneficial to add pictures of the stickers on cars, biking helmets, folders, backpacks, etc and put them on the homepage?

Point taken. That's kind of how I feel but a suggestion was made to display the stickers as they would be seen in person. I looked at other bumper sticker sites and didn't see any with "real" pictures. Most were the stickers photoshopped onto a vehicle.

I disagree, I think it would add an element of interest and help build brand identity. I would not limit the photos to just cars, stick them on bags or shoes and do photographs in the woods or on trails.

Try to limit the amount of pictures as images slow your page load time. If you use images try to refrain form using image alt tags as it effects search engine rankings.

Of course, make sure they are named with keywords too. Believe it or not you can send a ton of traffic to your site through images. They are great for SEO!

ARe you kidding me, that's a thing of the past. People are using faster internet connections now and with the latest photshop or fireworks you can easily optimize the picture for quick website loading.

Adding pictures (and videos) to a website is an excellent idea. We're stepping into a more media-centric world and having text only websites is very old school.

Also, images allow for additional marketing angles (SEO, google image marketing, etc.).

I hope this helps.

Nice to know we hear this from an "expert"
There is no such thing as "alt tags"

alt ATTRIBUTES are required for validation.
alt ATTRIBUTES are important for accessibility.
alt ATTRIBUTES are used by search engines and can affect page optimisation.

Adding pictures is one of the key factor to increase your sales and build your website's reputation. As they stated limit the pictures. Don't post all the pictures because they can make your website slow. Just put only the the best photos of your products and that will be fine.

Of course, nice pictures of your products would definitely help you in increasing sales. For SEO purposes, using alt attributes for your images, too.
