what is that called? and where would i go about to make something like this? basically when you touch the buttons on the left, the main banner changes.

mine are horizontal tabs, theirs are vertical buttons. Same principle, same code just different layout.

I believe what your talking about is what you call a header -- Top of the page, so it's the Head --er

you were being rude, and you got it wrong. how does that feel?

yeah, tabbed boxes are a great idea and CAN look fantastic, but to make them, i wouldn't use Photoshop, though if you have no CSS ability i guess photoshop might be your only option.

basically what i want is once you click an item on the left, a bigger more descriptive option shows on the right. i cant seem to find an example or something that could guide me in the right direction =(

Try using Tables / iFrames / Java / Dhtml whatever, even php, I am sure one will do the trick.

I wouldn't use photoshop. Here's a javascript/css solution where you click to display the page, not hover.
