Is this spam?

I am sorry if I put this in the wrong board.

One of my forum members who is a regular member and has posted many good tutorials and guides has recently posted a few topics that I was not sure about.

I did not remove these because I think he was just trying to add content to the forum. But then He posted a plain post with about 100 links to various websites with the topic "Download Everything Walpapers, music .etc" I removed these links and posted this:

I know that people love to download things for free, wallpapers, flash. sounds. icons, movies, software, 3d, tutorials, fonts, vectors, music, ....

JUST EVERYTHING FOR FREE.

Everyone will LOVE this topic.

Sometimes I really dont understand why you put a topic of my away. It is just a very good topic for everyone.

What do you think?

I agree with Chris, it's just Spam, I run an Adsense Forum and an Olympics one, my main rule is no links in your posts, keep them to your signature, the only exception to this is the "critique my site" section of the forum where people can post their site for review.
Stick to the same and you won't go far wrong. Only people I allow to put links in posts are my moderators, as they do the work for free this gives them the ability to make some money via affiliate marketing in return for their time. But none of them take the mickey by posting aff links daily etc. Hope this helps

Though he was trying to justify his post, but we all understand that it was a spam, and you did the right thing by deleting it. Now just make a new thread of the posting rules, and you are done.

If it doesn't relate to the section topic, trash it.

Also, just because it is free stuff doesn't necessarily mean it is warez, there is a ton of free, useful content on the web.

Either way it's spam, which you shouldn't allow no matter the member.
