I like to hand code everything I do so I usually use notepad although i've been playing with a trial version of Dreamweaver recently can't say I like it though.

Well worth the price to upgrade from Lite. I've tried other editors and always come back to NTP. They haven't released a new version in a while, but maybe they can't think of anything else to add to it.

For me, a very distant second is HTML-Kit.

I use UltraEdit-32 (text editor) - for HTML as well as ASP codings. Not free but it was worth the money paid!

Although I don't use it now, 1st Page 2000 is an excellent choice for an editor. It's FREE and has a lot of features found only on upper-end commercial editors.

Unfortunately, they have been promising an update for years and that has gotten their users (like me) turned off.
