Just like good ol' pen and paper D&D, I prefer notepad. ^_~ Frontpage annoys the crap out of me. Especially thier tables. I can't stand it.

A little late in replying...

I usually use notepad 99% of the time. If it's something quick and simple I'll use dreamweaver. But anything beyond that, I have much more control with less effort using notepad.

I've been using "Taco HTML Edit" (v1.2.1) for OSX - it's has a very nice, easy to use interface. Their website is www.tacosw.com

I use Notepad in Windows and gedit in Linux. But since I am a PHP coder I have to use text editors. The only bad thing about Notepad is that it doesn't have line numbers :S

get WinSyntax. Just like Notepad but with line numbers. It is also free.

http://www.winsyntax.com/

Want something more powerful and don't mind paying a wee bit? Look into Edit Plus.

http://www.editplus.com/index.html

I have both and I very rarely use notepad for anything now.

If you are using Win2000 or up, you can hit CNTRL + G for "Go To Line". There's also a nifty "Replace" feature that saves me a lot of time.

I usually use max Html beauty or notepad.
but when i need to edit lots of text or something like that, I use MS FP 2000. I think its much better that The Dreamweaver. People seem to like DW more only because its not Microsoft.

I really hate Go-Live, but I've been using it for so long (back when the product was owned by the GOLIVE company and was called CYBERSTUDIO it was the hottest thing goin) that I'm afraid to switch. I've heard swanky things about dreamweaver and would love to try it. Does anyone here have experience with importing site files such as templates from golive into dreamweaver?

My editor of choice is TextPad - I've been using forever - like Paint Shop Pro, I first started using it when it was freeware.

I've used DW, FP, and oh, so many other wysiwyg programs, but for me, there's nothing like doing it yourself.
