Google Docs has shown that online text editing is workable, and HTML editing is really just text editing with some rules, so it makes sense to see specialized editors appearing. Bespin looks interesting and I suspect it won't be the last specialized editor that appears.

An online editor that allowed one to choose a feature/syntax set would be Very interesting think of textmate bundles.. online

I personally first started using Aptana for HTML and CSS. Haven't changed since. I try to stay away from dreamweaver as I could see lazy habits forming and sloppier code. :P

Have been using Dreamweaver for years now, love the program.

Before using that, I did play around with front page but that was many years ago.

I started with Frontpage until I got fed up with any WYSIWYG editors. Too much extra code. Now I use Notepad++ and forced myself to learn whatever I need.

I hate WYSIWYG editors. Even on blogger I have always use the HTML mode vs. the Compose mode. I use Dreamweaver 8 but I keep it in HTML mode. I love the syntax highlighting and how it shows the Code Hints. The only time I set it to Design Mode is for a quick preview of the webpage without saving and opening it in a browser.

Hi,

I like latest Dreamweaver 8.0 coz its support CSS4 technology and secure FTP (SFTP) for fully encrypted file transfers and also has ASP.NET objects to better customize ASP.NET forms

Thanks & Regards,
Joanna Rivera
