99.9% of the time I use notepad. Occassionally I do use one other program but only because it makes image mapping easy as pie.
However, I so seldom use it I cannot remember the name of it and I don't think I have transferred it to my new pc yet. Heidi |

In Windows I use NoteTab Pro, Notepad or Uedit (depending on what's installed). On Solaris I use vi, and on Linux at home I use Vim. They're all great programs, especially if you're good at using text editors.

I love Dreamweaver - I started with Notepad, then graduated to Word, then to FrontPage and now Dreamweaver since version 3.
I tried GoLive but found myself going back to Dreamweaver. I just got version MX and I've fallen in love all over again.

I use notepad. I really don't like WYSIWYG editors, I never trusted them and never will
I like seeing my hard code, then at the end of the day I can say "I made that" instead of getting a helper program - you may not feel that way, but thats just me ![]()

I feel much the same way but I also don't use WYSIWYG's because I could never figure them out. Learning HTML was easier for me.

I've got two that I use depending on what I'm doing. If I'm at work, working on .shtml pages or just banging out a quick page then I use Edit Pad Pro. Otherwise I use HotMetal Pro, but only in the Tags On view. I still control the HTML (mostly) but the page is shown in WYSIWYG fashion. Kind of a weird blend of straight code and straight WYSIWYG. And it has yet to throw anything weird into my code.

I have used Frontpage, HotMetal Pro, Dreamweaver, and I am about to try out Homesite. I used Frontpage and Dreawever on www.scottbat.com. I had to use Dreamwever because their was a problem with Frontpage, I had to update to Office XP, and it was more for a person really into HTML. Like some of you said, Frontpage is good for beginners like me. HotMetal Pro has a useful Site Maker Database. I am looking forward to seeing what Homesite can do.

Hi, I like to use Namo Webeditor. I like the preview as you work as well as you can see the code as you go.
Anybody else like this program... ![]() |
