Is that bad?
Frontpage makes the messiest, sloppiest, most non-compliant code I've ever seen a WYSIWYG editor spit out.

I like frontpage, very easy to use. I have learned how to design with no books, simply by using frontpage and eventually learning how to code. Basically the same way if you just get shipped off to a new country you will learn the language just by being there and interacting.

Dreamweaver is great, but I usually end up using Frontpage more than anything else.

When i started learning HTML i only used NotePad basically becasue i haddn't a clue what else was avalible and frank wouldnt have know how to use them! But now i know alot more i was using Microsoft FrontPage and i loved it however when i decided to try and make my pages xhtml transitional i found it became very annouying because (as far as i know) they havent realesed a newer version that automatically puts " in the tags.

Now however i use dreamweaver (coding!) which also does javascript and many other PL's not just html etc

if anyof the above makes any sense what im trying to say is frontpage is the best in terms of usability but it doesnt have the capability for javascript etc and isnt up to the xhtml standards like dreamweaver.

Text editors are my preference. But if I really need to see what it looks like before I upload it, FrontPage is my choice. Before I could get my hands on a copy of FrontPage. I had to use a free editor called NVU, which i'd reccommend to anyone who doesn't have a paid HTML editor.

Dreamweaver is a great HTML editor but I never get a pass result when I validate my page with WC3 validator. Too many errors exist on the page. How to overcome this problem?.

Check if the errors form a pattern as in you always get the same error on the same objects.. Then it would be easier for you to fix them on creation. But chances are the errors are from your css unless Dreamweaver ovewrites your style somewhere. I dont know since i`m not using DW but my guess is no and its your fault hehe

DM will automatically add codes that makes your pages unvalid to the WC3 validator. Anyway I'm experimenting with NVU now.

This NVU is cool. It has the WC3 and CSS validator built in. Let's see what else it can do...
