I only learned html self-taught straight from the web itself (htmlgoodies, etc). I used NoteTab LT for the longest time, but now I feel in love and I'm using PSPad. I use it for html/css/php (and all in between).

I never learned a wysiwyg editor, and if you put me in front of dreamweaver, I would be lost. When I want a layout to behave a certain way, it would take me longer to use the wysiwyg method when I know exactly what I need to do in the html.

My whole approach is that I like to learn new things on my own. Also after paying the bill for the much needed Photoshop, I couldn't afford any high end wysiwyg editor!!

I think FrontPage is the best out of all of them. It is the most ppl friendly one anyway.

No WYSIWYG for me. I like the free Notepad++ -- good syntax coloring, find/replace on all open files at once, and tons of TextFX plugins that manipulate & convert your code in every way imaginable.

And every now & then I have to go back to HTML-Kit, because it's the only free editor I've found that will do multi-line regex replace.

I do most of the work with Frontpage and Notepad. While editing/creating flash objects, Dreamweaver is used.

Depending on what kind of template it is, I use Dreamweaver and Wordpad/Notepad.
For complex layouts with many images, I prefer to use Dreamweaver.
Simple layouts and text-only files etc are notepad jobs for me
