Hello.... yesterday morning I went to my websites and found that all of them were deemed insecure by Kaspersky. I have them all as add on domains with my hosts. Now I don't know what to do. They deleted the public_html and created a new one. I obviously have to upload everything again, but how do I prevent this from happening? Is there a hacker protector for websites?

I am very new at this... please forgive my ignorance... but I'm learning with all of you, so thanks!

I think they mean(by popular software) that if you created your site with something like Joomla, that you must always keep up with the latest security updates. Hackers look for these sites.

Are your sites PHP where people can add, edit content?
Have you ever worked on your site from another computer?(Perhaps when yours was down, if ever.)
Does ANYONE have access to your account passwords?(i.e. x-employees, friends(enemies), etc)

I'm sure the folks here can get you some better answers if you provide the above information.

They are persistent & clever, if you move sites to a server with any lax initial security config you may not notice it before the porn pirates do. backup backup backup, it's the only reliable security.
