Hi,

I'm a very early starter with building websites.
I'm looking for a WYSIWHG editor where i can:
  • Change the banner, design the banner and upload images for the design of the banner myself.
  • The layout of the text fields.
  • Create flash(y) intro's.
  • Add pictures and buttons wherever I want.
  • Ad pre coded ad's (such as Google adsense)
  • etc.
But above is the most important. I don't want to spend thousands of dollars before i have the right one!

Also, IS their somewhere a WYSIWYG portal editor?

Please help me!

Marty

then dream weaver is a right choice for you, you can find tons free tutorials in online and its easy for starter there, and you can upload all contents, images and more from that software.

but don't forget to have a tutorial in online search for it

If you're looking for a "do-it-all" package, you're wishes are hopelessly misguided. You can take recommendations such as Dreamweaver all day long, but if you don't have at least SOME understanding of the coding behind a website, you won't get very far, and although it is possible to create a site with little or no knowledge, you will inevitably come up against a problem, such as browser incompatibilities, that you won't be able to solve without some fundamental skills. When that moment comes, all of the work you put into creating a site without paying any attention to the code, will possibly have to be undone so that it can be rebuilt correctly. I know, because I've seen it happen time and time again.

So with other words:

Some people say use this or use this, and other says:
"you need some understanding of software writing"???

This must be a market for people like me?
Isn't there a company who offers such like?

For banners especially for flash, you might like to have something simple like:

http://www.Anim-Fx.com
http://www.amarasoftware.com/
http://www.flashbanger.com/

That's just a couple, but you can also try this google search:

HTML and CSS code is not even remotely similar to software writing. It is just a markup structure that tells a browser what to do with text and images. My point is, you may be be able to use a WYSIWYG to make a website, but you had better be prepared with an understanding of the coding as well, or you will sink in the mud, I don't care how good your software is.

Software is only as good as the person and experience operating it.

Agree 100% with Wayfarer. All the do-it-for-you tools in the world will not help you UNDERSTAND what's going on when your WYSIWYG spaghetti code invariably blows a gasket. You will not have a clue and you'll have pay someone like ME to fix it -- and that won't be a $20 bill.
