On July 1, 2008, Adobe announced steps to solve non-indexing of Flash based content by search engines by providing Google and Yahoo! with software that will make indexing and searching of Flash based pages and content possible.

Moreover, Google has announced that it has launched a "Flash indexing algorithm", which will result in better search results, so far as Flash based content is concerned.

This double treat is great news for all those Flash loving designers who always have had great ideas around Flash, but were feeling restricted because of search engine related problems.

Time to celebrate guys, Yippeeee

Looks like I'm still not going to benefit . The most popular, and quite frankly the best, way to input flash into a website is unsupported (Swfobject). This is mentioned in the little FAQ section after the article. It says that flash called by Javascript won't be indexed.

Great! So much for that .

Hey Buddy,
Let the Google Flash Indexing algorithm get mature (it is improving day by day)then this will also be possible.

When menu written in javascript got indexed by Google then you can expect flash called by Javascript will also get Google Touch....sooner.

"Better way to find out what is getting read by Google is to view cache snap shot of your webpage and under that check cached text.."

Unfortunately flash is still no where near as SEO compatible as other web languages like html or php. And with the booming popularity of SEO and PPC, you really need to take advantage of every little thing you can to keep your website (clients websites) ahead of the competition. So just because flash sites are now indexable, does not mean that they are a viable option for an SEO compatible website.
