OK, well I just got an inquiry from a new client about building them a site that revolves around their instrument repair business. The guy is retired and starting up an instrument repair business.

What he wants.

1.) Customer login

2.) Forms for each instrument that has fields for each key of each instrument. He wants the form to be a picture of that instrument and when they click on the key of that instrument it puts that value into the form. (I hope that makes sense)...Once they select the key(s) that are problematic then they have a description box.

3.) Once that form is submitted, the data is then stored into a database linked to their customerID.

4.) An email sent to them as a notification that he recieved their request as well as a email notification sent to him as well.

5.) An invoice form so he can pull up their information from the database and mark the keys that he fixed and amount it costs to fix it.

6.) Once finished with the form, he will send them an email notification that the repair has been completed and it can be picked up, but he also wants to make it so they can view their invoice sheet online as well. As well as keep it in the database so they can reference all their invoice sheets no matter how many or how long ago the repairs were.

------------------

I hope I explained that well enough, and was wondering if anyone knew or a software or app I could use that would help me achieve this? I am willing to pay for some good software for this client as they are willing to pay for whatever needs done.

Please list all options as I am at a loss as of right now.

I am not sure if Joomla or something like Caspio would be better for what I am trying to do. Plus trying to get a feel for things that have great repuation and userablity.

Thank you!

The forms are going to need custom programming. As far as I know, you will not be able to achieve this with any sort of software or CMS system. I would guess you are looking at atleast $500-$1000 in custom programing but that is just a guess.

I was afraid of that.

What about an app designed to keep inventory of all a companies supplies so they know when to order? Any apps you can suggest for this?
