hey guys, im just wondering if it is possible to create a site that is php/MySQL driven dynamic website, but also have part of the website that is made of static pages.

Im asking this becasue i want to use Joomla to create a dynamic website, But i want certain sections of the site to be static. Is this possible and how could i go about doing this? thanks

just create an Html version and do full url linking between the two. we do it all the time for virtuemart. We build alot of html sites but slice the shopping cart for Joomla and just link them together. End users won't even notice the difference.

I'd say that is definately possible. Depends what you want to do. If it's a static part you want to appear on every page then just create a php file with the content you want displayed on every page, then put the PHP get command to access the database for the area you want to be dynamic. With PHP anything is possible
