I've been wondering, these past few days, on how other people design, especially when you get to the point of 'okay, now I have something, but it's not quite right yet.' So what do you do? Are there any sites you look to for guidance? Any little tips or tricks to get that mind working, in order to get your design to be perfect? Any things that have particularly inspired you in the past?

Before I even start my website, I go to monstertemplate.com or something, and I look at some templates, to get some good ideas. Then I just put them to work.

I avoid template sites like the plague simply because they ARE templates - they all look the same IMO. I tend to browse thru sites like cssmania.com, cssbeauty.com, stylegala.com and others.

If you guys are looking for some good and free template sites then i think you should check free templates i hope that it would make you very satisfied.I am also use to download templates free from this site.

I also found http://designshack.co.uk which is pretty awesome as well for design ideas =)

Smashing Magazine has some really cool ideas, people share what they are doing and they run a theme of the week.

This may sound old and antiquated - I am an old fart after all - but I get some of my inspiration from print. Magazines that deal with design, art, illustration, etc.
