As far as building a website is concerned what is the best looking, most straightforward & easy as to use software something like Bluehost, host gator (or other similar Web hosts) OR something like XSitepro . Basically, what I am asking is it worth purchasing separate software to build a website other than what the Web hosts offer as far their own site building software is concerned ?

Definitely. The page building software offered by most hosts is pretty bad, produces really horrific code.

You don't need extra software to build websites, you could do it with notepad !

The website builder, provided by hosts sites can't be totally made by our willing.
there are some format which we have to follow up. but they are easy to use.

I didn't use xsite pro or any other different software with out dreamweaver or front page or note pad.But these are fine to create a good website.
