I apologize if this is in the wrong place. Wasn't sure where woul dbe best.

I have my first job interview at the end of the week and I have a question about something dealing with my portfolio. They requested that I show any concept images before the site design was finalized. How exactly should I prepare this in my portfolio? Should I take screenshots, label them and put them all on one page? I don't really want to print out a seperate page for each one. My portfolio has a set number of pages, and I don't want my interviewer to have to flip through a ton of pages as well as waste all my photo paper if its not necessary. Anyone have an example or something they could show me. I would really appreciate any help or advice. Thanks!

Before I offer some thoughts, know that I've never had to put together a portfolio for a job interview. I'm just applying some general thoughts about portfolios with general thoughts about interviewing for jobs.

Do they want the concept images for every site you designed? I wonder if bringing in concept images for one of two sites would be enough. If they asked for all of them then bring all of them, but if they just asked to see some concept images bringing them for a couple of specific projects might be enough.

I'm guessing they'd want to see the concept images at the same time they'd be looking at the final design images. I would think it best to have them grouped by project and have those images in your portfolio just before or after the images for the finished design. I know it costs money to print out all the single pages, but if it means getting the job it'll pay for itself.

The concept images probably don't need to each be on their own page. It's probably more important to group them together by project and make sure they're located next to the finished design in your portfolio.

I guess its not so much the cost and more that I don't want my portfolio to feel cluttered and have to flip through pages before the final product. Maybe you're right, I'll just put in the concept images for 1 or 2. Thanks.

I can understand not wanting it to be cluttered. I hope I helped and even more hope the interview goes well.
