I'm sure you've seen the featured images and articles that slide or "peel" to the next on famous news and portal websites. Ideally, I want to do this and have it be search engine friendly.

Man, I know I have seen these site but I cannot find an example!

Take a look at www.bananarepublic.com: I like the effect of the flash "ticker" at the top and I like the rotator in the main section. I have done rotators but I want to do mine better and SEO friendly if possible. I want a smooth transition and I want it to be easy to update.

Any ideas?
I feel so helpless and this seems to take a lot of time.

Not going to be seo friendly if you're using Flash.

Are you sure. That used to be the case, but I few months ago I read that Google now indexed flash pages too. Not sure about other search engines.

Cadillac - I implemented a similar slider ticker type thing on my new website http://www.plugin-developer.com - on the front page I used Javascript to implement the sliding and stuff. You should be able to check out the source code and get an idea for how it all works.
