Have you ever had this happen

I'm updating my Frontpage for some web design pages and everytime I go to a new file or edit a file and click "Save" the prompt pops up -"The application file has encountered an error and needs to close" ? I can't even work on any files or save before this keeps popping up?

I even uninstalled/reinstalled my Frontpage software.

Ideas??

Why do you try to use Dreamwear?

OP - Is there a specific error code or can you post the exact error message that pops up when you try to perform the action that you can't perform?

Have you recently installed any OTHER software ? What version of FP did you install ? FP is a horrid program.. IMO - and it's also been abandoned by MS - it needs to be buried in it's well-deserved grave.

Yea I say you should go pickup Dreamweaver, still a very great web design program to use, and hasn't been abandoned yet. Easy to use and reliable also

Thanks and now lesson learned...I just need to edit 3 pages on my website since my web guy abandoned me. I even tried the free expression web2 software but it kept stalling at the final load page -repair/uninstall or update and it wouldn't prompt to another page when opening

"Microsoft FrontPage application file has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I wasn't able to copy the entire error page it wouldn't let me Control C it~

I got it!! After running every test, every Patch and all the things everyone mentioned it works!!

Goodluck with your web design path, pick up dreamweaver though eventually it will help

Just don't use front page its awful stick with dreamweaver or aptana

Hey Zeke,

I would highly recommend switching to Dreamweaver ASAP. Slightly exspensive but its just alot better.
