Good day. I want to use my MySpace profile to sell my catalog, but the only good options I can see are those expensive readymade templates. Any one knows how I can design my profile by myself and add some catalogs?
You can customize a profile as heavily as you like, but there won't be any dynamic functionality (Ie, editable top friends), as you'd have to entirely hide the default layout.
If you know HTML & CSS well, you should be fine coding a div overlay Myspace layout.
Maybe you could add a banner which can display your catalog rotatedly.seems it is cute and space-saving. You can try to use sothink javascript web scroller, there are rich built-on template, you could make it in minites.

I don't think you'll find much luck in selling anything on myspace. You may want to spend more time researching your target market and where to find them. I'd suggest registering a domain name and uploading an html site structure. There's a ton of templates and layouts out there to help you get started and gain ideas. You may want to check out some articles on http://www.ecomhelp.com/KB/marketing/default.htm on marketing your business.
What are you selling anyway?

why is MySpace not considered a good place to sell my small business catalog? I read about some people who really helped their business with a MySpace presence. Isn’t it better to have a website and a MySpace profile to complement each other?
I am well aware of the fact that I have some restrictions in MySpace.
But i saw some profiles that used some sort of css of flash template that looked really good, and had some catalogs and such…even though they couldn’t actually sell anything online in the profile itself.
Does anyone know about a simple css or flash builder for biz profiles on MySpace?
if your trying set up a business and be successful you shouldn't use myspace because myspace has to many restrictions and it doesent really look professional using myspace to sell products your better off just buying a domain and hosting
I'm going to have to agree with Tim...
Usage of myspace for a business isn't very professional in my opinion. It's kind of like advertising a law firm at a supermarket... Your image might not be the best.
