I am in the process of getting my first official Web Design project, although its not that big am building for a friend. I would like to learn from the experience of people that have past that stage of being a Newbie.
Wat it felt like ,the process i should take,Advice on Template or WYSIWYG,Domain Registrar to use,Web Hosting Service.

I really don't do development but I have worked in a hosting environment in the past. Some recommendations:

1. Start with cheap but recommended (usually shared) hosting first. Don't have big eyes - you may anticipate 5 million members within the first month but it's probably not going to happen.
2. Move to a dedicated server when it does happen. Prepare this with your designer and make sure it can meet the minimum criteria of your project.

Domain registrars really don't matter. Personally, I use Namecheap. I know most of the Internet Advertising industry works with Moniker. It's all up to you. I like Namecheap because it includes a free WhoIsGuard subscription with every new domain registration.

But really, you need to give a lot more information about what kind of design project you're talking about. The information above assumes you're building a large, scalable app. If you're asking about templates and WYSIWYG, you're not leaving much information on what you're doing. Are you building a blog? A CMS? What is it that you're trying to offer your visitors?

Often hosts offer special domain registration prices for new customers, or even FREE domain registration. So I would certainly check out hosting before buying a domain.

Tamar is right though, we need a lot more information before we can give a lot more advice.

The first time… well let see, if I remember it was a crisp autumn night; we had just seen a movie and then wanted to for a walk on the beach… o wait what was the question…

Sorry about that , I learned by downloading some free templates and playing around with them to see how you code and what it does, I also used http://www.w3schools.com/HTML/ as kind of a good guide; then I just used this forum to get people to look at my work, and give me suggestions along the way. Good luck.
