Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I deleted position; absolute and it did the trick. Now I have a problem with the position of my text and images and other things on the page since they are not centered but my MAIN problem seems to be solved.

I should be able to now figure out how to get the text and images to stay relative to center.

If you know a quick fix, that would be great too.

Thanks for your help.

You need to dump ALL of the absolute positioning if you're really hope to get anywhere.

Looks like you still got a load of absolute positioning

Okay. So back to basics.

www.usmcmudrun.net/1.html

The text "15th Annual Marine Corps . . ." goes outside the body and into the background.

When I take out absolute positioning, the text goes all the way to the top above the banner.

What would you suggest to get the text to stay relative to the banner depending on one's computer screen/resolution. For instance, on my laptop, the text is outside the banner. On my desktop, it looks fine.

Just want it to look the same on anybody's monitor.

Thanks

Ok.. I took some time to fix this for you. It's a place for you to start to understand how this can (and should) be done. If you have any questions about it, just ask

A word of advice, never put a full size photo into your page and then use the html to scale it. The picture remains the same huge size and kills your load times. You should ALWAYS scale down your photos in an image editor FIRST.

This definitely looks better than the original, not just with the positioning, but the code is clean as well

Going live!

With the Home Page anyway. Thanks everyone for your help but especially to LadynRed who basically did it for me. What a kind person she is.

www.usmcmudrun.net

I have learned a lot. Please let me know if anything seems to be out of "whack" on your screen/monitor/browser since they all seem to be different. Hopefully, I didn't mess up LadynRed's codes.

Thanks again!
