Hey guys i'm looking for opinions on the web-development site me and my partner work at: http://www.kenetix.net.

Kenetix.net has created many templates before, and are always looking for ways to improve. Would love to have the designers drop by the forums and see how things are. Do comment on the site design! :devil2:

All feedback is appreciated.

Here's my feedback:

It's very web 1.0 meaning it has an antiquated UI, and is not very user centric. I would think a slick interface that doesn't use flash.

I have a slight problem with Flash these days for user interaction, and it has made me use it less and less in my development. In IE6 and 7, I have to click on the Flash section to enable it, then I can interact with it. This happens on every page load.

So in the case of your site, to search for what I have want to find I have to click twice on the search box. Once to enable it, second to put the cursor there. To me, that's annoying.

It's small, but I would want maximum users to be able to use the site easily.

There's an easy fix for the 'flash click-to-activate this control' issue in IE. Search for 'swf object'.

I agree that the design is way too old skool, get with the times. Besides which, grey/silver as a main colour just doesn't make me want to stay around.
