Hi guys,

I have recently returned to freelancing as a graphic designer, and i've started off with special offers such as $8 banners and half price on everything else, but I haven't had any interest.

At my age, (i'm only 15) i'm finding it difficult as I don't have any money whatsoever, and therefore I can't start a website of my own. :helpsmilie:

Can anyone share any tips to make some quick money? I only need around $50 to get my site started!

Looking forward to hearing from you guys

Ok few things.

Manage to get $8 to buy a domain name and use a free host if neccessary. Make a portfolio if you don't have anything to put in it make some cool designs for competitions on sitepoint or something. Put those in even if you lost. Once you have somewhat of a portfolio start to advertise it places. Maybe you will get some business then. Do you have photoshop by the way? If so im wondering how you managed to get it if you have no money.

Also I don't know your skill level so if your not very good at designing it make take a while until you get some money. I'm 16 so just a year on you so I have come from your position. Just keep learning.

Don't under price yourself either. Most people know you can't get anything good done for $8 also underpricing yourself puts a bad light on every designer because then people think they can get stuff done for really cheap.

Hope my post helps. Add me to aim or msn if you want and we can chat. My aim is jdprgm33.

Thanks for the advice jprgm. I'm not a beginner at designing, and I used to regularly work as a designer. However I let my sites go and took a break, and now I am getting back into it.

I am reasonably advanced and I do use Photoshop (my dad has a copy from his work, they had spares ).

Add me to msn: michaelkeefe91@gmail.com

Thanks again for the advice

Don't let your age hold you back. I am 15 as well. You can start out with only spending money for a domain. You can use a free host and make your site there. I used to be focused on design freelancing but I am more into the webmastership end like actually running the sites.

Good luck and do you do Logos? I just made the one in my avatar but I am horrible at logos and looking for someone who can design me a professional looking one for a good price.
