Hello everyone, just joined this forum and it seems a great community. I've been having a problem today and I can't seem to resolve it.

http://www.propertynetworksuk.net/restricted/01.html

please go to this link and click on one of the downloads, you will notice that the files try to open, I need the save file prompt to appear to allow users to save the file to disk and then view it. I've looked at other sites and this seems possible. My client has created this .exe file.

Please please someone provide me a solution, it's driving me mad!

I think this should do it..

If you add this to the .htaccess file..

Code:
addtype application/octet-stream .w02
Remember to save the file as .htaccess and not .htaccess.txt and upload it into the main directory of your server.

Hope this helps

we are using a webstar (mac driven) so I don't think that works? I'm wandering if there might be some javascript I could put on, like a behaviour on mouseover?

What a nightmare

Is there any other compression software that I could use to compress the .exe file, then it downloads and automatically opens up. I've tried winzip self extractor, but end up with a .exe file and back to square one
