As an admin of a forum do you stay active once the forum becomes more active? Or do you leave it to your moderators to manage the forum?

i usually stay active. on taf, the last post was 16 days ago. and that was me and another admin discussing william's fate :P. its pretty much dead now.

I think as the Administrator you should be active on your forums.
Encourage users to make new posts, maintain the forum etc.

im more active than ever.. I get on once every day... at least.

I think that it's bad for the community if as an admin you back out and not post anything except news and things. Technically, you're still active because you're making changes and maybe moderating, but I think that not posting sends a message to your members that you don't care about the forum anymore, even if you're doing other things to keep the community running.

I stay active, but not as involved as I used to be. The community isn't about me, and what I think, so I try not to interject my opinion too much.

Now, if I community is just starting out, it's a whole different story. When a forum is new, the admin has to constantly post, add new content, and more.

But usually, I'm behind the scenes kind of active.

I'm absolutely active and I'm usually online at least every couple of days. From what I've noticed, if I'm gone for a extended period of time, the other admins and mods disappear for some odd reason lol.

I stay active. I would get rid of my forum if there came I day I don't want to post in it anymore.
