I'd have to go on other - Invision Power Board, I'm more experienced with this software, not so experienced with PHPBB or VB.

Yeah, I too prefer IPB, mainly because of its easy admin system, though I don't have much experience with others.

I have to go with VB, I dont have much experience as a admin with it, BUT as a member and user I find it very easy and nice to use.
But I would say quite close to IPB really, but thats not a option in the vote.

You have got that right! PHPBB is one of the worst! As it does not offer much! Also their are many errors!

I'm actually quite a fan of phpBB - its easy to mod, upgrade, and add themes to. I do like vB also though, but can't afford to purchase a vB license for every site I run.

What is DNN?

DotNetNuke. I'm an admin of a site made with phpBB, and it really isnt as bad as most people make it seem.

If you like searching for bugs, then phpBB is for you,
but if you want a safe site choose VB.

Personally, I chose IPB.

It seemed like the best option for what I wanted, and it's very well supported.

I voted for vB because my forum uses it,

But... IPB had a better admin CP,
It is much easier to find things, and can make it easy to do things quickly!

The vB admin cp is like the phpBB one! Lol!

Anyway, IPB has some good features, Like RSS feeds, Warn system...

But over all, vB has better coding! I like the fact I can use quick reply and I don't have to wait for the page to load over again and also the images!, I find the feature pretty cool that makes the page loose it's color when logging out!

Owell, I like vB... But IPB has a WAY better admin cp!

I'm going to stick this thread as on many admin forums this can be asked up to 2 times a week
So this 'should' cut down on these threads

Of course, they actually cost money, so they should be better than free boards.

My favorite at the moment would have to be k4bb, its very nice free software that is nearly in the release candidate phase. From this list I'd have to go with vBulletin as the best, which is how I voted, I really love how vBulletin works and how pretty much everything you need is right there when you install it. Second would probably have to go to mybb, its quite nice as well. Third would be phpbb, which is lacking very much in a lot of features but is still quite usefull for small boards.

After that it would have to be smf which I really don't like, the admin cp, the layout, everything just turns me away from it. MY least favorite software would have to be ipb, in my opinion it was sub-standard when it was free, it definitly is not worth a penny in my mind. I've never used Yabb, I suppose I should at one point or another.
