Do you think they have more mods/hacks than VB?

I voted for VB. I've used SMF and like it but i'm going build my next board with VB becuase, as I understand it, it can handle more traffic.

I prefer vB.

vBulletin is a powerful, scalable and fully customizable forums package for your web site. It has been written using the Web's quickest-growing scripting language; PHP, and is complemented with a highly efficient and ultra fast back-end database engine built using MySQL.

vBulletin is the ideal community solution for all medium-to-large sites.

I use VB and phpBB another website of mine. Originally, I had IPB instead of phpBB but I was forced to shut down that website due to a trade mark issue. Regarding that, I was going to fight it since I had my website up a full 2 years before the trade mark was issued; however, I decided not to and start another website with a new name. When I did that, I lost my login info for IPB so I downloaded phpBB and modified the subSilver theme extensively. When the modifying was finished, I just couldn't help but stay with phpBB (at least for a little while longer).

I tried YaBB, SMF and phpBB, granted it was before i actually had users (i didn't want to open on one and then change) but found that phpBB was able to do everything i wanted, because there were SO many mods out there for it! I'm very happy with my choice!
