IPB all the way. And if you are looking for some light-weight forum, you should consider punBB.

Ya punbb is alright too.

Nothing beats vBulletin. But its not free though.

But IPB is a Paid one now like Vbulletin

Have you seen OZZU.com?!? thats a power house phpbb webmaster. Ive check the links also and found they were all rewrites.

ipb 1.3 and lower are free to use but not to distrobute lol 2.0 and higher are now paid.

ipb looks nice and loads fat compare to phpbb. I think phpbb has tons of mods that you can add. However, most of them seem to be unstable.
