True, but it shows the change in time how its been growing and certainly has grown since Jan07. I mean 14% last year, I'm sure its under 10% now.

I'm designing a site at the moment which is roughly 980px wide, which leaves just enough space to either side and fits in a 1024x768 resolution too. But I know that 99% of people will have a decent monitor to view it on. There are still some people who wont have a decent mintor but I can bet you that by 2010 that the vast majority of the developed world will have a resolution of 1024x768 or above.

I believe it isn't a stupid move. Most browsers now uses the 1024 px rather than the 800px...

and what about the ones that aren't? i think it's stupid to ignore them, but then it's your Business ...

What if you are not an ecommerce site, more of an information site?

i just mean that you have more to lose by ignoring those on 800x600. if it's just a personal site and people leave it doesn't matter as much as losing sales
