Many of us here are hand coders so you'll probably get a lot of recommendations for html editors. I use HTML Kit, which is free.
You can also check this list for other free code editors.
I'll also recommend Filezilla as an FTP program, which is also free.
Save the $100 for hosting costs.
I've seen a site or two that used website tonight and I think the service is not worth the cost. From what I can tell you pay more for hosting and actually get less for that money. The only advantage seems to be that you don't need to know html to build a web page. I'd recommend switching the hosting. I forget the exact prices, but I'm guessing you're paying about $50/month when you could get more hosting for about $10/month.
Give them a call and ask about switching and what's involved. I had them switch a client's site and they were very helpful on the phone. I think they'll even take care of the whole thing for you or at least stay on the phone with you while you make the changes.
