If you are a designer, I need an idea for my website nav.

I am a designer my self but for some reason I am totally out of ideas on this.

I am trying to come up with a navigation design/concept. I really like this design: http://www.holdsworthdesign.com/ the way the navigation buttons expand with this neon transparent color. I want to do something like that but don't want to copy it exactly like it is. I just can't come up with a way I could impliment this effect on the navigation buttons in another way so it's not a copy.

I need some creative help. I thought about putting the buttons in the bottom-middle area of the header and expand to the top but I don't know, I think it'll look weird.

Any ideas?

Well their sites navigation is a Flash movie. Can you code in flash or do you need it in CSS/html or Java...?

Ya i know. Flash is fine. I'm just looking for some ideas, outside the box ideas, you know?

My mind is stuck, I just cant think of anything. Too much going on righ tnow I guess.

May I ask what site (i.e. topic/niche) you will be putting the new menu in.

Not bad. It's a bit too dark though. Make the font color lighter. It will help the readers.

Could you play off the lightning theme and do lightning bolts striking down instead of neon? I couldn't tell you how to do it but from an image stand point it might look good or it might be too much lightning. Just a thought.

i would go with the lightning theme that seems a good way to go,
