A web page Im working on looks right in both FF and IE, but it Dreamweaver it looks horrible!

Div's just seem to be all out of place and some overlap each other.

Does anyone else find this? If so do you try to fix it or just ignore it?

Here are some screenshots to explain my problem. Basically the page looks how it should do [at the moment] until I insert a list into the div at the top.

Screenshot 1 [before inserting the div]:

Screenshot 2 [after inserting the div]:

Ive had problems similar to this before, but its just unworkable when Dreamweaver is being like this!

Dreamweavers visual preview has been known to be a bit flaky and it's not good to rely on it. Checking in real browsers is the only sure fire way to see if everything is working correctly...

Dreamweaver creates series of .mno files which it usually stores in an _note folder, and which are used for a correct designer view display. Have you received the web site or are you building it from scratch with Dreamweaver?

Or maybe it's just a bug of Dreamweaver . However, nevermind, it's important that it displays fine in the browsers.

Yeah its a page Im making from scratch, Im thinking possibly it could be something to do with Vista?

Im using Macromedia studio 8 suite, and it doesnt seem quite as smooth as it did on XP!

Never mind, I managed to get it looking right in Dreamweaver aswell as the browsers so hopefully itll stay that way!

Thanks for the help

i don't really trust the dw preview! I've always found it a bit unreliable. Like what stefan said, its all about the browers. I only use preview when it comes to the mindless task of adding content!
