Hey guys i want to start making a website but im not sure what way to go about it. I really like the way that this website is put together http://zone-anime.com/.

i dont want to copy them but i like the where the buttons are placed and how some of the stuff is set up. if you guys could tell me what i would need to know to make a site similar i would appreciate it. Ive been studying xhtml so i got a good foundation on that but definitely not mastered it yet.

What is your present skill set? Also, I can't get that site to load.

Okay, it's working now. To do something like that, you'd need CSS/HTML for the most part. I haven't investigated, but I'm sure their menuing is done with Javascript, which you can probably find a free script for somewhere. You will also need to do some graphics (I assume you like the pic at the top), but I see basically your standard picture editing on that site, and nothing very fancy.

If you like the basic layout of the site, you can find much more basic things to study than that site. You could even look at the Tarot site in my sig, which has a header and two column style (though I don't claim it's the best written).

I'm sure that menu could be done in CSS! anything is possible with CSS
