i build all my websites for 1024x768 - is there a code or some sort of tags/program that someone knows of that would adjust the website for different monitor settings, when someone else views the website in a different setting?

i'm having a problem with a customer now who has a really huge freaking monitor, so obviously our design looks really small and lame to them right now. so i'm looking for a solution, as i do not want to design the website for their huge monitor, because then others will have a hard time with it that have normal size monitors.

any suggestions would be very helpful.

thank you.

Grabbing screen size thru scripting is about your only solution and that's just way more complicated than it's worth. You could try a min/max width script, that's not quite as hard to deal with, but you'd still have to define a maximum that's reasonable. You just have to explain to your client that web sites are not designed for THEM, but for the public, their customers and most of THEM won't have honkin' huge monitors.
