I would say that if you don't have the written authorization in your hand from the original author, you might be putting yourself at risk.
If the client refuses to supply such an authorization that he says he has, I would draw up a short document that you request he sign indemnifying you from any fault for copyright violations for which he indicated he otherwise has permission for. Otherwise, if he tells you he has permission and he doesn't, then when the fecal matter hits the oscillating cooling apparatus, you are stuck in a he said/he said situation and that is never good because you are the one who actually posted the material in question.
That's a tough situation, praveen and I would say above all else, protect yourself.
