Hi, I am pretty new to web design, am getting pretty good with photoshop and the actual design of the layout but i am having problems when it comes to slicing the template up to export in to dreamweaver.

Does anyone know of any good tutorials about slicing or can anyone point me in the right direction ? I have searched the net and cant find any tutorials that explain clearly.

Thanks for any help.

"Pritty" ???? .. I think you mean P-R-E-T-T-Y

I guess I'm not sure why you need a tutorial for slicing a graphic. It's not that hard to do if you have your layout ready in DW.

Are you using tables for layout ? (hint - you shouldn't !)

You need to layout the site in Dreamweaver using the dimensions of the sections of your graphic that want in the layout. There is a slice tool in Photoshop, and once you've defined your slices, you can use ImageReady (and God help me for saying this......) to 'export' the slices and HTML for you.

Just for the record, that is the WORST way to set up a site, it's much better to do it all by hand.. layout your page in DW and then create your slices in Photoshop, save the slices as gif's or JPGs, then put those images into your DW layout.
