I would like to add a link on my website that says something like " click here to download your google adwords made easy book". and when clicked on they download the book, but at the moment all i have is an email address for them to send me an email and ask for the e-book. So how do i go about adding a downloadable ebook. I guess i have to upload my book but i don't know how to go about that. Can any1 explain to me how they would go about uploading the ebook and where do you upload it to?

You upload the book the same way you upload other files, ftp.

If it is pdf, it will open or if they right-click they will have the option to save to disk. There may be a javascript to have it default to choose to save instead of opening.

Put the ebook in a zip file and upload it to the server.

Then follow the advice in the post above to create a link to the zip file.

When they click on the link they will be offered the chance to dowload the file. You can visit my first sig link to see exactly what that looks like. If you hover over one of the links, you can see that I have the zip files in a direcorty named DL.

If you only have the one file you can just put it in your root directory.

Thnx for quick responses, have it sorted now. Not after info on user, as getting email and name means you have to pay aweber or similar company. might add this later.
